Riverside Solar – In-Person Public Comment Hearing (RESCHEDULED)

In-Person Hearing Procedures

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT due to the declaration of a state of emergency for the hearing location, the November 17, 2022, public comment hearing has been canceled. A rescheduled in-person public comment hearing to receive comments from the public on the Riverside Solar facility and the Office of Renewable Energy Siting’s draft permit will be held at the Brownville Fire Department, 121 Brown Boulevard, Brownville, NY 13615 on November 22, 2022 at 6:00 p.m.  

Please note that due to the rescheduling of the hearing written public comments will be now be accepted until November 28, 2022 at 5 p.m. For instructions on how to submit, click here.

All persons, organizations, corporations, or government agencies who may be affected by the facility are invited to attend the hearing. It is recommended that lengthy comments to be submitted in writing and summarized for oral presentation. Equal weight will be given to both oral and written comments. To ensure that all interested persons have an opportunity to speak, the Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) may limit the time available for oral comments to 3 minutes per person. The public comment hearing will be transcribed for inclusion in the administrative record.

 

Interpreter services shall be made available to deaf persons, and English language translator, services shall also be made available, at no charge for either service, upon written request to Chief ALJ James T. McClymonds, New York State Office of Renewable Energy Siting, c/o OGS Mailroom, Empire State Plaza, P-1 South, J Dock, Albany, NY 12242, email: [email protected]All requests must be received no later than 4:00 p.m. on November 3, 2022.
